Congressional Appropriations Action - Postponed
The Associated Press reports that Senate leaders have decided to push back consideration of remaining FY 07 spending measures until the 110th Congress convenes in January. This leaves the Department of Education funded at current year levels until further consideration.
This means that all of the current programs will maintain their funding at last year’s level. When the 110th Congress convenes on January 3rd, the Democrats will be responsible for completing the appropriations process.
